Natural Point Overview

Natural Point are the developers of the OptiTrack cameras.

These cameras use their Motive software to capture data and save C3D files, and can stream real-time data to Visual3D. The camera capture software included with AMASS uses the NaturalPoint SDK to capture data, and AMASS produces C3D files.

Marker Sets

Visual3D's marker-set-independency allows to model and analyze specific marker sets. Many Optitrack customers tend to use Biomech (57) full body marker set and Rizzoli marker sets. Below are tutorial examples of how to build model segments when using these marker sets.

Plugins

Has-Motion offers multiple plugins for real-time data streaming into Visual3D. When using a real-time streaming plugin with OptiTrack camera systems, the specific camera model does not affect how the data is streamed into Visual3D. OptiTrack processes and transmits data in a consistent format across all camera versions.

If timestamps are required for OptiTrack data while using a real-time streaming plugin, an esync2 device will be necessary.
